One of the things I love most about being a North East and North Yorkshire wedding photographer is the incredible variety of locations I get to work in.
From weddings in the beautiful countryside of North Yorkshire to celebrations along the North East coastline, every location offers something different. Over the years I’ve photographed weddings in places like Whitby, Saltburn, Scarborough, Guisborough and across Teesside and the wider North East region. Each wedding brings its own atmosphere, its own story and its own set of moments that make the day unique.
While venues and scenery can certainly add to the atmosphere, the most important part of wedding photography is always the people. The emotions, reactions and connections between couples and their families are what truly define the photographs.
A Relaxed Approach to Wedding Photography
One of the things couples often tell me when they first get in touch is that they feel nervous about being in front of the camera. That’s completely understandable. Most people aren’t used to having a camera pointed at them all day.
My role as a North Yorkshire wedding photographer is to create an atmosphere where couples can simply enjoy their wedding day without worrying about the photography. I keep things relaxed and unobtrusive, stepping in with a little gentle guidance when needed but never turning the day into a photoshoot.
