Sian & Dom’s Wedding – Redcar Registry Office Ceremony and Saltburn Reception at The Marine
Some weddings are all about the big venues and long timelines, and others are simply about two people, their closest family and friends, and celebrating their love in a way that feels completely right for them. Sian and Dom’s wedding was exactly that – relaxed, heartfelt, and full of genuine moments from start to finish.
Their day began with a beautiful ceremony at Redcar Registry Office, one of the most popular locations for intimate weddings in Redcar and Cleveland. Registry office weddings have a charm of their own. There’s no pressure, no over-the-top production – just the focus on what the day is really about.
As Sian arrived for the ceremony, there was a quiet excitement in the room. Dom’s face said everything when he first saw her. Those are the moments I love to capture most – the natural reactions that happen when couples are simply being themselves.

The ceremony itself was warm and personal, surrounded by their closest family and friends. Redcar Registry Office is a fantastic location for couples wanting a smaller wedding while still keeping the day meaningful and memorable.
The room filled with smiles, laughter, and a few emotional moments as Sian and Dom said their vows and officially became husband and wife. It’s always amazing to witness that exact moment when everything changes – the excitement, the relief, and the joy all rolled into one.
After the ceremony we stepped outside for a few relaxed photographs before heading along the coast towards Saltburn-by-the-Sea, one of the most beautiful seaside towns in North Yorkshire.
Reception at The Marine Hotel, Saltburn
The celebrations continued at The Marine Hotel in Saltburn, and it couldn’t have been a better choice for their reception. Sitting proudly overlooking the sea, the Marine offers some of the best views on the North Yorkshire coastline.
Saltburn itself is one of my favourite places to photograph weddings. The Victorian charm, the coastline, and the relaxed seaside atmosphere make it a fantastic setting for wedding photography.
Inside the Marine, the atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed. Guests were greeted with incredible food, great company, and the kind of easy conversation that fills a room when everyone is genuinely enjoying themselves.
And speaking of the food… it was absolutely amazing. One of those wedding meals where everyone keeps saying how good it is between bites. The Marine really knows how to look after their guests.
Saltburn Seaside Wedding Photography
Before the evening celebrations really got underway, we stepped outside for a few photos around Saltburn’s famous seafront. The scenery there never disappoints.
With the sea stretching out behind them and the soft coastal light beginning to fade, it was the perfect moment to capture some relaxed portraits of Sian and Dom together as newlyweds.
This is the part of the day where couples often get a few minutes to breathe, take everything in, and realise the day they’ve been planning is finally happening.
Saltburn provides such a beautiful backdrop for wedding photography, from the historic pier to the sweeping coastline and the character of the town itself.
A Day Full of Genuine Moments
What stood out most about Sian and Dom’s wedding was just how relaxed everything felt. No rushing, no pressure – just a day spent celebrating with the people who matter most.
Those are always the best weddings to photograph because the moments happen naturally. The laughter, the hugs, the quiet conversations, and the little reactions between couples that tell the real story of the day.
It was an absolute pleasure to capture their wedding from the ceremony at Redcar Registry Office through to the celebrations at The Marine Hotel in Saltburn.
