My early days saw my father and I heading to the loft; our make-shift darkroom, to develop our prints. I remember hanging them out to dry over the bath, however things have moved on a lot since those days – photography became my passion and I now have my dream job – I’m a Wedding and portrait photographer.
I have a beautiful family that keeps me on my toes; you may sometimes bump into them at the studio if you’re lucky.

“Documentary photojournalism photography, in particular, has become a major passion in my life, as has black and white photography. The raw simplicity captures my imagination and unlike many other styles, black and white is timeless.” – Stuart
Over the years I’ve developed both as a photographer and Discovery Photography as a business. I’ve had work in print, in such publications as the Financial Times, Daily Mail, Cosmopolitan and many national magazines. But that’s not why I’m in this profession; I’m in this profession to see the smiles on every clients face when they receive their images.
What’s my style? – Documentary wedding photography.
“I’ve been a wedding photographer for over 10 years. I’m relaxed, unobtrusive and produce natural reportage of documentary wedding images. Therefore, I don’t get in the way, dictate or pose you. Allowing me to capture emotionally, natural images, of not just you, but your guests, children. Not forgetting the details that make your wedding day too” – Stuart
I look forward to meeting you and perhaps even capturing your memories.
My Photography Studio.
My studio is based in the beautiful market town of Guisborough just near the historic market cross. It’s situated just off the high street and access is easy, with parking at the Fountain street car park or in the Guisborough high street (disc parking).
Been a ground floor studio we have easy access for those buggies or elderly relative, with a ramp to the front door disable access from the front street, it’s perfect.
It’s friendly, cosy, warm and private, I can handle large family groups, comfortably, to the smallest of babies. We also provide a selection of toys to keep the little ones happy while your making your selection, with a cuppa of course, after the shoot.
