Matthew & Vicky at Gisborough Hall
Gisborough Hall is my nearest wedding venue, it literally just around the corner from the studio in Guisborough. It’s so close I could walk there, although carrying my equipment might be an issue.
Matthew and Vicky’s wedding was very intimate affair and took place in the conservatory of the Gisborough Hall. Its a really special place at christmas, the warmth of the christmas lights and the smell of pine from the tree, presumably cut fresh from the estate, tucked neatly into the corner really brings a cosy feel to the evenings wedding.
With only a hand full of guests, it was a real, close family , which suited Matthew and Vicky well. It meant the most important people were there to share their special day with them.
It’s not a usual wedding at Gisborough Hall for me, they tend to be much larger and in the wedding ball room, which caters for such events. The Conservatory on the other hand gives fantastic views across the Cleveland Hills and the Hall’s grounds. Although on this night the rain kept everyone inside, but I must admit the smell from the chocolate fountain was enough to keep anyone close by. I could feel the calories coming on fromt he smell, just standing next to it. Everyone seemed to love the strawberry’s and sweets dipped in delicious chocolate.
Once the meal was over, Matthew, Vicky and the guests retired to the old side of the hall where a beautiful log fire was burning to finish their evening. I left as the some the guest were just starting to get a little silly!
