Jess and Callum’s wedding at Danby Castle.
Danby Castle Weddings.
Danby Castle is one of the most beautiful wedding venues I get to work at. Situated in the famous North York Moors National Park, with the river Esk meandering it’s way towards the seaside town of Whitby down below. The sheep bleating in the surrounding fields and occasional steam train passing by. What more do you want in a venue?
The medieval castle provides a perfect backdrop to any event, especially on day like this, bright warm sunshine makes the venue extra perfect. Both Carolyn and Phil always make you feel welcomed and looked after. I should know, I’ve sampled their hospitality on lots of occasions over the past 11 years. This time I was treated to a beautiful Steak pie and vegetables – now that’s what I call wedding food.
The Ceremony room is very intimate and is always decorated gorgeously. Callum and Jess’s wedding was just that. The ceremony is a very emotional time. Plenty of laughter, love and or course tears. The first glace of Jess as she walked down the isle was one of love, the smile returned from Jess was beaming. These guys are so much in love.
Jess and Callum were the model couple, Callum looking as dapper as ever and Jess taking everyone’s breath away with how beautiful she looked. It just added to the perfect day.
I also had the privilege to work alongside Sooze from Applewood Films. We both agreed that after the festivities, we had to utilise the weather and the surrounding countryside. A quick trip was organised to the surrounding moors just before the first dance.
It was lucky, in which case, that I had spent the evening before valeting the car……..
The early evening light was uninterrupted and beautiful on t’moors. Well worth the effort.
